π± I personally love a quick, nutrient dense, chocolatey protein bar. I have been enjoying these as a mid-morning snack, but they are great anytime of day
** If you arenβt the biggest chocolate fan, try topping with melted peanut butter or coconut pieces
Recipe:
– 1 cup pitted dates
– 1/4 cup maple syrup
– 1/4 cup peanut butter
– 1/2 cup peanuts
– 1/2 cup almond flour
– 2 scoops protein powder (of your choice)
– Optional: 1/2 cup melted chocolate
Instructions:
1. Soak pitted dates in hot water for ~20min (to soften)
2. Drained dates and add to blend, or food processor, with maple syrup. Chop until semi-smooth (refer to texture in reel)
3. In a bowl, combine dates mixture, peanut butter, peanuts, almond flour and protein powder
4. Line loaf tin with parchment paper. Add mixture.
5. Top with melted chocolate, then place in freezer for 2 hours
Store in refrigerator for 5-7 days, or freeze for up to 3 months in a closed container
