>> Don’t get me wrong, I love a pizza with a flour-based crust, but as someone with celiac disease I need a gluten-free alternative. Cauliflower crust can be a great option for those who need to avoid gluten, or anyone who needs a lower carbohydrate choice
🌱RECIPE:
– 4 cups grated cauliflower (~ 1/2 a large head)
– 1 egg
– 1/3 cup parmesan
– 1/2 tsp oregano
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
🌱COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 400F
2. Blend cauliflower in a food processor or blender until shredded
3. Add cauliflower to a lined baking sheet and bake at 400F for 15 min
4. Once cauliflower has cooled, drained excess water out with a cheesecloth or kitchen towel (this will prevent the pizza crust from being soggy)
5. Add drained cauliflower to a bowl, then combine egg, parmesan, oregano, salt, and Italian seasoning
6. Add cauliflower mixture to a lined baking sheet (line with parchment paper), and shape into a circle
7. Bake at 400F for 35min
8. Add desired pizza toppings and bake again at 400F for 10 minutes
9. Once edges are golden brown, remove from oven and enjoy !! 🙂
